quick q&a

CLASSIC VS CONTEMPORARY? – Classic. Maybe a bit of contemporary in accessories.

NATURAL VS SYNTHETIC? –Natural.

NEUTRAL VS COLOUR?  – Neutral. Again…accessories bring their color.

QUALITY VS QUANTITY? – Quality. Definitely quality. Though I have lived the quantity age, too. So, now I’m sure that it is definitely about quality!

MARILYN MONROE VS KATHARINE HEPBURN? -They both have their charm and style. I love the determination and discipline of Hepburn, but I cannot resonate with her arrogance, self-centered and brutally frank attitude. I really like in Marilyn Monroe her generosity, kindness, love for children and animals, but I cannot resonate with her lack of confidence and the choices she made. So, I choose the third
option: Audrey Hepburn. Definitely Audrey Hepburn.

RETAIL VS CUSTOM MADE? – Both.

BOTICELLI VS DALI? – Botticelli. Simply exceptional.

PRADA VS CHANEL? – Chanel.

INTERNATIONAL VS ROMANIAN? – Both.

BAROC VS ART NOUVEAU? – Though it can be too dramatic sometimes, I still prefer Baroque. But I also like Art Nouveau, especially when it tries to harmonize with the natural environment in its art.

KNOWLEDGE VS SELF-KNOWLEDGE? – Both.

YIN VS YANG? – Both. Aren’t they a whole…which is always greater than its separate parts? They interrelate to one another.

WOOD VS FLORAL? – Discreet, more insinuative rather than obvious, floral.

MAD MEN VS SEX AND THE CITY? – Both…though I haven’t really seen much of Man Men, but I like their feminine style.

MINI VS MAXI? – Midi.

SEASIDE VS THE MOUNTAINS? – Both. I prefer seaside.

  • PLEASE SHARE WITH US A FEW WORDS ABOUT YOURSELF/ YOUR JOB

Mother of two boys. Wife. Executive coach. Business Consultant. I love working with and for the people with crazy & beautiful ambitions. I am happiest when I can be a ”rainbow in somebody else’s cloud. “ (yes, Maya Angelou fan also).
I care to build in all possible ways.
It is not about who I am – it is about what I do with who I am.
It is not about what I have & what I know – it is about what I do with what I have & what I know.

  • WHAT’S BEEN THE HIGHLIGHT OF YOUR CAREER / PERSONAL LIFE, SO FAR?

My children have been the highlight of my personal life.
The quality of the relationships with my clients and how they evolve are the highlights of my professional life.
But most of all, the way my personal and professional lives feed each other, help each other, grow each other… this is my blessing…not having to draw sharp boundaries between them. I simply honor them separately, but I let them support each other and grow together.

  • NAME THREE THINGS THAT KEEP YOU GOING EVERY DAY OF YOUR LIFE

My family. My clients. My passion for what I do. My faith. (yes, they are four.)

  • WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO A YOUNG ROMANIAN REGARDING HIS/HER FUTURE CAREER?

Work to find out what you love and you’re good at. (this way, you will never be happy it’s Friday or sad it’s Monday. It will simply become a great system you have created for yourself)).

Then, work to get ever better at that. (it is a continuous process, it never stops, it should never stop)
Read, listen and care! (without these three, life is simply incomplete). Do sports, mediations, prayers…or whatever it helps you recharge and reconnect with yourself and the outer world.

Respect both the health of the body as well as the health of your mind & spirit.

  • HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR PERSONAL STYLE?

Classic…yet in a simple manner. Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication, said Leonardo da Vinci…and I couldn’t have said it better.

Elegant….yet in a pragmatic manner. Elegance is the only beauty that never fails, said Audrey Hepburn…and I couldn’t agree more.

  • IN YOUR OPINION, WHAT IS THE MOST COMMON/OUTRAGEOUS MISTAKE WOMEN MAKE WHEN IT COMES TO OFFICE WEAR?

Loud, vulgar, tight, standard.

  • WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE CLOTHING ITEM? WHAT ABOUT THE MAKE-UP PRODUCT YOU LOVE MOST?

I guess for me it’s not so much about the item, as it is more about the material and the feeling I get when I wear it, when I touch it. I like silk, velvet, cashmere, great cotton.
In make-up…the same. Quality is my favorite thing in a make-up product. I like Chanel or Guerlain foundation, YSL or Dior Mascara. I don’t use lipstick, a natural gloss will do for me.

  • NAME THREE BOOKS/AUTHORS THAT INSPIRED YOU SO FAR

I love (auto)biographies so anything from Jung to Maya Angelou is simply revealing.
I am passionate about leadership, so books written by Manfred Kets de Vries or John Maxwell is great.
Irvin D. Yalom makes you understand human kind much better and see much further…or deeper.

  • HOW/WHERE DO YOU IMAGINE YOURSELF IN 5 YEARS FROM NOW?

Good health, peach of mind, a sense of well-being. Blessed to feel it all, ups and downs included, humbled for the ups and grateful for the downs, stable with the unstable, peaceful during the noise and energized by the gifts God gives me in so many ways, through my kids, my family, my friends, my work.
Always looking to grow a clear mind and a clean heart.
